Sous Chef – Safari Lodge

Singita Sabi Sand, one of Africa's most prestigious safari lodges, is recruiting a Sous Chef to join our remote kitchen team in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve.\n\nThis is a live-in, full-board position with 21 days on, 7 days off rotation.\n\nYou'll cook for up to 36 guests at a time, producing everything from breakfast and bush picnics to elaborate five-course dinners by candlelight in the bush.\n\nThe role:\n• Support the Head Chef across all meal services\n• Produce seasonal menus celebrating African ingredients\n• Manage kitchen in Head Chef's absence\n• Train and develop local kitchen staff\n\nBenefits:\n• Accommodation and all meals included\n• Return airfares to Johannesburg on rotation\n• Medical aid contribution\n• Staff wellness programme\n\nRequirements: 3+ years professional kitchen experience, lodge or remote kitchen experience advantageous, own vehicle for off-rotation travel.
